Enhancing the access to finance for Moroccan start-ups: The Innov Invest Fund
The 3rd Policy Lab organized by INSME in the frame of THE NEXT SOCIETY project will take place on the 25th of November at 3 p.m. CET and will offer the opportunity to explore the Innov Invest Fund, an initiative promoted by the Central Guarantee Fund (CCG) to make Morocco a regional hub for start-ups and innovative entrepreneurs.
The financial system in Morocco is open and competitive, however, even if MSMEs represent the backbone of the country's economy, the access to finance for start-ups, MSMEs and innovative projects is very challenging since classified as high-level risk investments by banks, pension funds and insurance institutes.
In this scenario, the Innov Invest Fund acts as a propeller for the thriving of the innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem through three main components, pre-seed, seed and venture capital investments.
