Following the four advocacy panels organized between November 2017 and March 2020, and in the context of the last year of THE NEXT SOCIETY project, Berytech is organizing the 5th advocacy panel meeting on Tuesday October 26, 2021, from 3.00 till 4.30 PM (Beirut time) to showcase the 5 years project’s achievements and highlight the impact of the activities held to empower the Lebanese Technology Transfer Ecosystem on a national scale.
The meeting will gather representatives from the Lebanese Entrepreneurship ecosystem (accelerators, incubators, donors, program beneficiaries, academia…) and the regional network of THE NEXT SOCIETY stakeholders from the Mediterranean.
THE NEXT SOCIETY Advocacy Panels acts as a national Task Force that facilitates public-private-academic dialogue, provides benchmarks and analyses, and share experiences on innovation and competitiveness with the aim to strengthen the Innovation system, foster the coordination among actors involved, and improve concrete instruments of the innovation policy.
The main objective of the Advocacy Panel 2021 is to showcase the impact that THE NEXT SOCIETY had on the Lebanese Entrepreneurship Ecosystem for the past 5 years through the implementation of various activities, to strengthen the Lebanese technology transfer ecosystem and elevate the innovation capabilities, in collaboration with key local and regional experts and partners.
The Advocacy Panel will highlight:
- The main outcome of the national recommendations and strategies developed to strengthen IP (Intellectual Property) innovation and foster an enabling environment for technology transfer
- The impact of the programs and initiatives developed in this field
- Success stories from the program’s beneficiaries: Testimonials and exchange of experience
- The importance of sustaining THE NEXT SOCIETY Mediterranean network and the way forward.
