The National Advocacy Panel for an Innovation Policy Agenda will be held in Jericho, on 13 March 2019.
This high level meeting is organised by the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence (HCIE) with the support of PICTI Startups and ANIMA Investment Network. It is held in the frame of THE NEXT SOCIETY, an initiative funded by the European Union that aims to support innovation in the Mediterranean.
Acting as a Task Force at national level, the goal of THE NEXT SOCIETY Advocacy Panel is to oversee innovation roadmap formulation, its implementation, evaluation and update, with the objective of :
- Strengthen the national Innovation system;
- Foster coordination among actors involved;
- Improve concrete instruments of the innovation policy.
This second meeting aims to identify the priorities on which a technical assistance mission will be conducted. To do so, THE NEXT SOCIETY will mobilise international expertise to meet the needs of the ecosystem, for a budget up to 35,000 euros.
This panel is composed of Palestinian and European private sector representatives and investors, innovation stakeholders, relevant Ministries and their agencies, the Office of the European Union Representative as well as academic experts.
