Borg Al Arab Innovation Cluster is the first cluster of its kind in Egypt, marking the first cooperation between the government and the private sector in innovation. The consortium consists of renowned members of all relevant fields; its objective is to enable innovation and entrepreneurship through public–private partnership.
The cluster tends to work on four different plans to generate positive results:
- Socio-economic development;
- Startups & entreprneurship activities;
- Training and human development;
- Business development.
Created in 2016, the cluster is a NGO with a virtual platform that integrates the academia, industry, and entrepreneurship to boost the competitiveness of the industry, develop the academic curricula, and encourage the creation of startups.
The Egyptian Borg Al Arab Innovation Cluster joined THE NEXT SOCIETY Cluster Booster Track in 2017.
