Call for experts – Egypt
As a direct follow-up of the public-private dialogue conducted during advocacy panel meetings in Egypt, THE NEXT SOCIETY launches an open consultancy on line. The selected experts will be in charge of conducting a technical assistance mission to support the development of an operational accelerator for start-ups internationalization in Egypt. The 2nd Innovators Academy in Tunis
On 23 and 24 April 2019 in Tunis, EBAN - the European Business Angel Network and APII, the Tunisian Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation, with the support of ANIMA Investment Network, B@Labs and CONECT, organised the 2nd Innovators Academy of the THE NEXT SOCIETY initiative. This event launched the acceleration programme for the 2nd promotion of Start-up Booster Track entrepreneurs and the 1st Tunisian promotion of researcher-entrepreneurs accompanied by the Tech Transfer Booster Track.

Startup AFRICA SUMMIT
From 6 to 8 December 2018, Rabat hosted Startup AFRICA SUMMIT, the leading international event on the African startup scene, bringing together entrepreneurs, mentors, industry experts, investors and leaders of innovation ecosystems in Europe and the MENA region and members of the Moroccan diaspora. More than 300 participants and about 30 international speakers from more than 20 different countries worked together on internationalization in Africa and explored investment opportunities.

TechDays 2019
THE NEXT SOCIETY and the European Commission through the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), with the support of StartUp Morocco and ANIMA Investment Network, organised the 1st edition of #TechDays, an event for cluster managers from Europe and the Middle East and North Africa region, which took place in Casablanca, Morocco, from 9 to 11 April 2019, in the margins of the Logismed exhibition.

THE NEXT SOCIETY implements an action plan that aims at mobilising, promoting and strengthening new innovation ecosystems in the Mediterranean. Until 2020, THE NEXT SOCIETY will directly reach over 190 incubators, accelerators and clusters and 300 growth companies, and will support almost 60 technology transfer offices in valorising their research. This pilot action plan, which is co-financed by the European Union, targets 7 Mediterranean countries: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon.
