The second Innovators Academy of THE NEXT SOCIETY will be organised by EBAN – the European Business Angel Network and EBN Innovation Network, together with Tunisia’s Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation – APII and the Confederation of Tunisian citizen enterprises - CONECT with the collaboration of Bi@Labs, an incubation platform supported by Tunisian banking group BIAT. This two-day intensive workshop and training event is the first opportunity of meeting for the second promotion of entrepreneurs supported by THE NEXT SOCIETY start-up booster track, the support programme for entrepreneurs in the MENA region. The training will also target Tunisian researchers looking to create a start-up from an innovative technology project, supported under THE NEXT SOCIETY Tech Transfer booster track.
What is it?
The Innovators Academy is a two-day workshop and training event where selected entrepreneurs and researchers from the MENA region have the opportunity to work on their business plan and investment pitch and to improve their IP strategy with investors and investment experts. This will also be a great networking opportunity to meet and connect with the other entrepreneurs, researchers and expert mentors.
For whom?
For the second promotion of THE NEXT Start-ups and for Tunisian researchers looking to create a start-up from an innovative technology project: APII will launch the call for applications soon! Eligibility Criteria :
- To have a technology or innovation with a proof of concept
- Locally developed with a potential of scalability
- Aiming at solving specific challenges
- Addressing the Artificial intelligence, smart cityt and WEF (Water – Energy – Food) sectors

Tunisia Smart Industry Forum - 25 April 2019
In the framework of its transition strategy to industry 4.0, the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and SMEs organises on 25 April 2019 the « Tunisia Smart Industry Forum » under the theme : "Artificial Intelligence : a lever to boost competitiveness".
Organised under the High Patronage of the Head of Tunisian Government, in partnership with PromoNet, this forum will give the opportunity to discuss key questions, among which : How to implement AI promotion strategies in driver sectors? How to foster this technology transition to boost economy and business development?
THE NEXT SOCIETY partners with this forum and will participate in the panel: "Artificial Intelligence, a stake of competitiveness for Enterprise 4.0".
