A win-win relationship between European and South-Med cluster managers

The mentoring activity foreseen by the Cluster Booster Track seeks to match experienced European cluster practitioners (i.e. cluster managers or cluster management experts) willing to develop inter-cluster cooperation and to share their successful experiences, the mentors, with cluster managers from South-Med countries looking for individual advices and feedback from peers regarding the development of their cluster, the mentees.

Mentoring is reserved to the 24 cluster managers from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia selected to benefit from the needs diagnosis process, as the objective of this activity is to deepen the cluster management issues identified during the initial assessment and the training sessions, with a more experienced European peer, who will provide its outside perspective and guidance during several months.

As for the mentors, a call will be launched to identify the European cluster practitioners willing to share their experience on cluster management issues, offer support to mentees looking for guidance in their learning journey to become more professional, and open to exchange ideas and cases which may lead to new path of reflection on their organisation as well.

The aim of the mentoring activity is therefore twofold: on one side, support the development of cluster management practices, and, on the other side, provide inspiration for new business ideas and cooperation opportunities.
